Island Bay

Kowhai syndicate went on a great trip to Island bay here are some of our stories.

There was two buses and it was a long trip. I found a long legged starfish.

On Monday, my class went to Island bay. I went to the rock pools and Hannah's mum found a sea worm and we put it in a bucket. He lives in the sea and they are black. It was very very long.

I fed a turtle and a fish and I found a hermit crab.

We went to Island bay and I fed a turtle and I found a fish. I went to hunt for crabs and starfish and we went on a bus with Adi and Kate and Katie and Room 8. We found some fish and shells. The shells were beautiful. I really enjoyed it.

We are learning to write reports

We learnt lots of facts about crabs! We have made some amazing Hermit Crab pictures that will be up in the hall for our cultural concert, come along and check them out!

Hollie's Cross Country Story

Today we had the Cross Country at School. I ran with the year 1 girls. I passed all the people and I won and I came 1st. And i tried my hardest. And I felt proud.

Ryan's Cross Country Story

Today we had the cross country. At school and I was first. My Mum and Sean and Aunty Penny and Nanny and Poppy watched for me and I came first in the cross country. I wanted to win and I didn't pass any one because I was too fast for them. Harvey passed Callum and Callum passed Harvey and Harvey passed Callum and Callum passed Harvey and Callum bet Harvey but I was in the lead and I won and I came first and I got a card with a word first on it. I couldn't beat Mr Cross because he cheated going in front of us. But I caught up to Mr Cross. Next year I will Beat him!
